He is well over six feet tall, ran a 5k this fall, drives well (no license yet, hold ups from covid shut downs), spends much time at the Miles Christi Family house with the priests and brothers, and squeezes every last bit of fun he can out of life.
Acts 1:8 (NIV) But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.”
Two of our children were confirmed in the Holy Spirit. It is a privilege and a joy to prepare our children for the sacraments. Our parish is generous with the homeschooling families, allowing us some flexibility in our preparations. Dominic and Maria were a joy to prepare together.

(His Excellency only allowed one camera, no flash, so I was very glad to have this picture! Blurry is better than none!!)

This year we are baking a few of our regular treats and trying some new grain free, sugar free recipes to keep Kevin and me on plan over Christmas. Our regular treats are: snickerdoodles (because the younger kids love them and can do them by mostly themselves), buckeyes (because... well, yum), gingerbread for St. Nicholas Day, and traditional fruitcake (because my husband asked). Also whatever is gifted into the house.
I baked a cake and two pumpkin silk pies, chocolate cookies, fudge, cranberry wassail, eggnog, cranberry sauce (I did both, regular and sugar free), low carb sourdough for the stuffing, and keto rolls. All on plan for Kevin and I, good for the children, and, so far everything tastes very good!
I can't imagine not baking for Christmas so I'm grateful to be able to bake and cook food that is actually nourishing, and also celebratory!
I can't find any birthday pictures... I can't even recall what we did for it. (I'm binge blogging months later.) Of all the kids, he wouldn't let it just pass by so I KNOW we celebrated! But Dom had a great fall so here are a few Dom pictures.

Dominic loves football. He is wrapping up his third year playing with the Ann Arbor Saints. It's a huge time commitment and we sacrifice family dinners most nights during the season. We live too far away to drop off and pick up, I drive him and stay, run local errands, or often, the girls and I will walk around Domino's Farms. The girls help me with concessions and other jobs at our home games. It's a happy time, as well a super busy one.
This year Dominic played guard as he has other years, but also was put in at tight end and scored his first touchdown! It's been an amazing season. touchdown!!!
