Small town parades are fun. Traffic and parking is easy, people are relaxed and friendly, and there are lots of tractors, horses, fire trucks, vets, and politicians worthy of rousing cheers. (Even got a military flyover. I'm too ignorant to say which branch of the military, and one does not want to be mistaken on that one.) This year some of our kids walked with our friend and mayor, Phillip Campbell who is running for state representative. They handed out campaign material and chatted up the candidate's qualities.
