For six weeks we had the pleasure of Dad being home while he recovered from his hip replacement. It was quite a luxury having him home. He helped with math, supervised projects and read countless books to Lydia. He also dressed countless dolls for her, I'm pretty sure he never did that for the other girls.
Towards the end of his recovery, he had an opportunity to go on a charter fishing trip with his brothers. They had a great time and we have a supply of wild Michigan salmon in our freezer.
Kevin is back at work now, unraveling the difficulties that arose while he was gone. We are grateful he has a job and that there is work to be done. As I type, I overheard Dominic say "I can't wait till Sunday, then Dad gets to stay home." It certainly was nice having him home...
