I have never hosted Thanksgiving, but a couple of weeks ago it ended up that I got elected. Thanksgiving dinner was always on my 'one day I hope to do..' list so I am excited about it.
We'll try a brined turkey (actually 2, one to carve ahead of time and have ready to serve and one to present at the table for effect) and traditional chestnut stuffing, pecan topped sweet potatoes, my mom's good rolls and cranberry sauce, mashed potatoes and gravy (found a youtube video on how to make perfect gravy!), corn salad and probably plain old green beans with bacon.
So Bridget - how many people will your table hold? We'll just do very simple thanksgiving food at our place this year.
