Michigan is a geographically interesting state in that it is two peninsulas connected by the massive, five mile long Mackinac Bridge. (AKA Big Mac or Mighty Mac) The residents of the upper peninsula jokingly refer to the lower peninsula residents as trolls, since they live below the bridge. We also have a state rich with Catholic history and our family history. We recently went up to the tip of the lower peninsula for a family reunion vacation. We stayed in camping cabins on the shoreline near the bridge. We were practically under the bridge so we figured that indeed qualified us as trolls.
