On Valentine's morning Kevin took me out to breakfast. Afterward he said we had to stop at a friend's house to pick up a CD he needed for a website he is working on for them. When we arrived at their house there were many cars parked outside. I was annoyed that there was obviously a gathering or meeting there and why do men have to plan these things so poorly? As we went through the garage their older son was working on a car. I asked him what was going on and he replied that he was just working on someone's brakes. I was still too dumb to catch on. (And it was another good friend's car he was working on!)
As we walked in I was greeted with a surprise shower given by Kari, and ladies from our parish and homeschooling circle. (Including many sweet daughters.) My mother and sisters were there too and someone had picked up my girls. I cannot believe they pulled off a complete surprise. I was floored! My older kids even knew!
The party was lovely, the food was delicious and the atmosphere was filled with the joy and care that mom friends have for each other.
I only have few pictures, but my excellent photographer friend, Kate, took many more and has promised to send them to me soon.
They are good. I love the brakes line! We always get so nervous with surprises that our jitters just give it away. :)
What a treat Bridget!

Whooo-hooooo!!!!! Way to go Kevin, Galbraith-Offspring and lotsa-friends (who know how to make a lovely food-table, by the way)!!!!
And, now you know why you haven't gone into labor yet :) It's THEIR fault. lol!
Man, you really ARE Dutch.....are you REALLY holding that large child while 38 weeks pregnant? I don't think my Slavic-bones could take that. And my Swedish back definitely could not! Not to mention my German-hips...they would give birth right then-and-there.
