We planned to start schooling today. I was away for part of the weekend and then had a migraine headache. The house is a disaster and the household/organizational projects I wanted to finish before we jumped into readin', writin' and 'rithmetic did not happen. I decided to start anyway.
Who knew? It was a great school day. We did everything I planned to do, the kids had ice cream and now are playing outside. Kevin J. has a book club discussion tonight, (Screwtape Letters) and the rest of the kids and I will tackle the house.
We are using Catholic Heritage Curricula for K (oh, he couldn't wait to get started!), 2nd and 4th. The older kids, 7th,8th and 10th are doing their studies with the Saint Augustine's homeschool tutorial program again this year. It starts up in a couple of weeks so they are working on math, some grammar practice, religion and polishing up handwriting.
It's good to be schooling again!
