Last week was especially busy. Kevin was home to work on house projects, there were the usual runs to the store, orthodontic appointments, broken washing machines, poison ivy, and children's activities.
We also had the deaths of two family friends. Paul, and a young lady named Mary. She had Downs Syndrome. Mary was a friend of my younger sisters and our family has known theirs for years. Her funeral was a reunion of sorts. We got to see some of the other special needs students Mary and my sisters had gone to school with. We got to see faith in action among those devout parents who embrace God's will for their children and are committed to love them with all they have. Mary, herself, exemplified selfless love as so many DS people do.
Paul and Mary taught us so much about love with their lives. Their deaths have shaken us up and brought us to a renewed commitment to love and be holy.
So, with highly charged emotions, and an incredibly busy week, I had no time for blogging. I just did a bunch of catch up posts. Cool, that you can backtrack in life with blogging!
I am so sorry for your losses. I have been thinking of you and praying.
