One Thing About Homeschooling

It's tough to keep the kids on track with their own assignments.  They are too interested in each other's work.

This morning Monica was trying to take a science test for her enrichment class.  It is supposed to be closed book.  But the boys were gathered around her, discussing the questions and even debating the answers.  Umm, I don't think they are getting the concept of a Test!

Then Blaise was reviewing his Latin and Greek root words.  Alex was supposed to be studying his dates for medieval history.  But he couldn't stop himself from explaining things about the Latin words and thinking of new derivatives for them.

I'm glad they have a high interest level in many things, but good grief!  There aren't enough quiet corners and desks in our house for everyone to have their own work space.  Maybe blinders and earplugs....?

*giggling* I know that it really isn't funny - but we have that problem around here too - and I only have two boys! :) On the plus side - they are getting a well rounded education...
