Actually, we got a good head start on Christmas cookie eating. I'm not sure there is a lot left for the freezer.
We made two batches of this very basic recipe.
4 cups of flour
1/2 tsp salt
3 sticks of salted,softened butter
1 1/2 cups sugar
2 tsp vanilla
Mix the wet and dry separately
Combine and chill one hour
Roll and cut
Bake at 325 degrees for 13- 15 minutes
