The ultrasound showed a nice size body but no heartbeat. The baby must have died in the last couple of days.We are peaceful and able to pray 'Thy will be done'. But we could use some prayers to get through it.

So sorry to hear of your loss. You have been in our prayers during this most painful and heartbreaking time. This has to be one of the hardest crosses to bear.
God bless y'all

My heartfelt condolences at the loss of your baby. You do not know me butthere is a connection somewhat.
Unlike you, I was not able to pray. An hour and a half after my second baby girl Andrea was born healthy and normal I was told in no uncertain terms to prepare to lose her as she would not last thru the night. Not knowing how to start preparing for that I was unable to make sense of anyrhing. People came and went and we spent the last half
hour watching Andrea breathe her last with tears streaming down my face. I declined the offer to hold her as I knew I would not be able to handle the memory of how she felt in my arms all soft and near cold. This happened 10 years ago but I have no recollection till today of how Andrea looked and much else that happened. All I know is that I will hold her in heaven.
The miscarriage after that at 12 weeks was not as painful but it gave me the opportunity to cherish my next 2 children that were born thereafter one on All Saints Day.
My thoughtsand prayers are with you as I have a small idea of what you are going thru at this most difficult time. Rest assured we have the strength by God's grace to lean on HIm.

Even though we've never met, Bridget, our mother's hearts are united in this grieving. I understand what you are going through, having gone through it in almost exactly the same way this past January. A beautiful little body and yet, no heartbeat.
Please be assured of my prayers. If it is of any help to you, I have a section on my blog labeled "miscarriage", and there may be one or two resources there that are consoling.
