It's true, I am pathetic. But I know many other moms who are right there with me. I'm in the countdown to my last days of having a baby. At the end of next month Maria will turn two.
Two is officially toddlerhood. Never mind the fact that she has long been saying her ABC's and 123's, climbing down out of her crib and up the rope ladder into the tree fort. (!!!) Until her birthday I'm hanging onto calling her a baby.
Fortunately for me her dimpled hands and elbows and baby chub won't disappear overnight. And she has always been a cuddler and enjoyed being rocked. There is never a shortage of willing rockers around here.
But for these next few weeks I will have episodes like this morning. I got all choked up watching the sunlight glint off the Fisher Price toys. See? Pathetic.
I can sympathize with you, except my baby is going to be 5 in Sept. :-( Time goes by too fast. Maria is a cutie pie. BTW, This is the name we have picked out for our baby girl due in Novemeber.

I'm pathetic, too, Bridget. I turn 42 in December and even though AJ is only 6 mos. old, I am so not wanting to have him get any bigger...packing away his newborn clothes made me cry! I pray and hope that I can be blessed one more time if it is His will. Prayers for you, too! And I've always loved the glimmer of the sun on my red Fisher Price barn...;)

You're not pathetic. You're normal, IMO.

Hello! I am new to your blog. My name is Maria, I just turned 41, and I'm newly married (I'm now living in a new place and do not know that many people here yet.). Your children are adorable! I am very encouraged by the fact that you are my age and at 41 you were blessed with a beautiful baby boy. My husband and I are hoping and praying we will be blessed with a baby too. So, it is really possible (Thanks to God) to have a baby at 41? I will pray for you and your family and that you will be blessed with more children. Could you please pray for my husband and me too that we will be blessed with a baby too? Thank you so much!
I'd love to make some new Catholic friends both offline and online.
If we are blessed with a child, I really want to be a stay at home wife and mother and homeschool. It is very important to me to be a good Catholic wife and mother like the Blessed Mother, St. Anne, and St. Gianna and for our future children to know and love Jesus as well as the faith.
Your blog is very inspiring and encouraging to me! Thank you!
Feel free to write me - I'd love to hear from anybody who would like to write!
Thank you!

May God Bless you.
