Regina (5) went down our quarter mile long driveway to get the mail yesterday. I watched her return to the house walking slowly backwards the whole way. When questioned about why she walked backwards, she replied, "I have to walk backwards so I can see when I drop pieces of mail." Such a conscientious child!
Oh, I need to tell this to my girls! : ) I am forever warning them not to drop any mail. I like Regina's method! LOL.

lol! this is precious! It reminds me of the old days going down my dear parent's long drive with the mail. We all knew that mail was as precious as gold in dad's eyes and not a piece should EVER go missing! It makes me clearly remember being younger...thank you!

I love this, Bridget! When our son, now 18 (will be 19 next month), was about that age, and I would tell him to be careful and not drop any mail, he would say, I know Mom, I've got it memorized!
