For the Feast of All Saints, we are blessed to have an All Saints Party at our parish. I took a picture of our little saints before we left, since once we get there many parts of their costumes are discarded. We had St. George, King David, Elizabeth of Hungary, St. Micheal, a little angel (held by Kevin Jr., who decided he was too old to dress up... sniff) and St. Barbara.
The party begins after Mass, and begins with a potluck. Other activities include a hay ride, games and crafts. The highlight of the evening is the pie eating contest. Our friend, D., has been the reigning champ for several years now. Kevin has been his 'trainer'. They sort of go with a Rocky
theme, when they enter the hall. This year Kevin Jr. entered the contest with Alex as his trainer.
Neither Kevin Jr., nor the champ won this year, but they had a blast. Though I don't think either of them want to see a cream pie any time soon. I guess we are not the most pious family, more of a pie-us family.
