Home schooling moms can either teach well or keep house well, but they can't do both unless... they put those kids to work! I am so grateful for the work my children do. They vacuum, load and unload the dishwasher, mop, dust and help with the little ones. Anything that needs to be done, they can help with.
Recently, we started using Managers of Their Chores to help the children get in better chore habits. Three times a day they clip their chore packs on and move each chore card to the back of it as they perform the task. Each chore card has the chore written on it or a graphic for non-readers. Naturally they still need direction, some prodding and the occasional candy bribe (blush) but the chore packs have proved to be a useful tool for teaching the children these important life skills.
We try to do our work cheerfully, have a little fun with it and help each other. Teamwork goes a long way towards a happy household.
Chore packs...what a great idea. That may help my little ones along!!
Great photos!!

Donna, my kids love accessories in any endeavor. The chore packs have been great for the more 'scattered' of my children.

Bridget, thank you for the link and the great photos! I think this system - especially those chore packs - would be a help to my boys! :)
