When you are two and a half your main mission in life is to get some action going around you. Now sitting through night time prayers can be especially rough, but you must do it for the first part of prayers. That way dad can relax and really pray. Once he is focused on prayers you can get up from your seat and, while keeping your hands folded prayerfully, you go across the room to get your favorite noisy dump truck.
Next you bring it back near dad but just out of his reach. Then you run the truck. As soon as he starts to react you drop to your knees with a pious expression, folding your chubby hands in your best altar boy imitation.
(Ignore the confusing reaction of your mother who quickly leaves the room with her shoulders shaking. Stick to the plan.)
Then you see how many times you can repeat the process of running the truck then dropping to your knees as dad reacts. This is great fun, makes prayers go faster and keeps the action swirling around you... which is the goal when you are two and a half.
Oh, that's precious. I should be careful to save these funny posts for a couple more weeks - too much danger of giving birth while laughing!
