Kevin and I got away to visit the college boys thanks to Kari and David and the Hayes family who took care of the rest of our kids.
The magnificent view of the Shenandoah River from the campus grave site of the college's founder, Dr. Warren Carroll. (I am in love with the beautiful Shenandoah Valley.)
We spent an afternoon on Skyline Drive. A couple years ago Kevin and some of the kids saw a bear up there. I have always wanted to see a bear in the wild. From the car. No bears that day, it was cold. But what views!
We spent an evening in historic downtown Winchester with our guys and some of their wonderful friends.
A murder mystery tour of the historic town hall.
Christendom campus is not without it's own excitement. Apparently they have had a bear problem on campus. Rats, it did not show up while I was there. But someone did trip the fire alarm in the dining hall necessitating a visit from the local fire department making the college not so popular with them.
Someone added bubbles to the lovely fountain. It's hard on the fountain motor but as college pranks go... it's really kind of funny. At least it's clean.
I love this picture from Dr. Hahn's recent visit to campus. Three brilliant men. Dr. Hahn, Dr. O'Donnell (president of the college) and Fr. Pilon.
We had a fantastic weekend, we were so glad to be part of the boys college life for a couple of days. I hope I didn't embarrass them with too many 'momisms'. :)
